Good job I stayed in the hotel and did not ride out to Tarifa otherwise I would be fully depressed by now.
But I did make a quick venture out to the local supermarket for a walk and pick up some food. But, yes, I am in Spain and it’s a Sunday and everything is closed.
As I walked back through the hotel entrance I naturally navigated towards the bar, but overcome with self restraint I turned and headed back to my room. Purhaps later.
Now, Netflicks.
So far I don't think your blog is likely to get sponsorship from the Spanish Tourist Board. Rain... wind... everything closed on Sunday. It sounds like an out-of-season British seaside resort in the '60s!
ReplyDeleteMay be I should try to get sponsorship from a UK holiday resort. They could run the slogan “Why have a rubbish holiday in Spain when you can have one here”.
ReplyDeleteIan - you deserve a medal for keeping positive in the face of so many hardships - there's plenty of folk who would have turned back; abandoned the trip or hitched a truck ride to escape what you are putting yourself through. Respect !
ReplyDeleteBy Jove, you even whine alot when you're on your own!
