You would not be wanting to be sleeping in the same room as my boots

Yes, my boots are developing their own personality.

An interesting day today.    Two of the bikes had problems (not mine) so we went to a local garage for repairs.

They also offered to clean and lube all our chains while we waited, at £2.70 each it was a bargain.   Then they offered to clean the bikes plus cleaning and lubing the chain for £4.50 each.     So most of the chaps went for the full option.   I only wanted my chain cleaning and lubing as there appeared no point in cleaning the bike and then getting it immediately dirty again.   Plus I want something to show off when I get back to London.   “Dirty? Yes it is, but that is dirt from the Atlas Mountains “

We then had a chat to them about our proposed route on a trail.    Unfortunately it was now a tarmac road.  So plans were altered at we set off on a sedate road.    Unfortunately, nothing interesting happened what so ever.    Well, apart from one of the chaps getting a bit too enthusiastic on a section of dirt track, making an overtake on a section that was a little bit too narrow and touching handlebars with the chap he was over taking.   I understand that there is going to be a bit of a convention this evening, especially as the same chap made some scary overtakes on blind bends and then having to cut-up the bike in front as he realised anything could be comming round the corner.  Even the crazy Moroccan drivers were not making overtakes on those bends.

We did stop off at an interesting Kazbar that is over 200years old and made of mud.   It’s a little run down now, but still interesting.

Just look at the angle of some of those walls.

We now in our hotel at Quarzazate, it’s ok, but not as nice as the others we have stayed in.  Ait Benhaddou is nearby and some of the chaps are riding out there for a look around.  Ait Benhaddou has been used as a back from in the film Gladiator and also in Game of Thrones.   I have been there twice before, so I will be having a look around Quarzazate.

  1. That fella who always has to be out in front, how tall is he? Because it's often the short guys.
